It's the last day on earth.

I just saw The Crying Game for the first time. And possibly fell a little bit in love with Stephen Rea.

He has the most soulful eyes.

Yeah, he does. : )

Yay, Crying Game! What did you think?

I loved it. Forest Whittaker's appalling accent aside, he was brilliant and heartbreaking, as was whoever played Dil.

And, I'm completely in love with Fergus. He's just... so sweet, and sort of resigned, and a little dangerous, and so very broken.

I love that film. Were you unspoiled? When I told me friend I was going home to watch it, he told me the twist. So I beat him with my script.

I was unspoiled, but my brother and I took one look at her and worked it out. IDK. Good eye for that sort of thing, I guess.

It is such a good film, though. I fell in love with Fergus.

Jaye Davison is awesome. Neil Jordan found him by trawling gay bars in London, he gets nominated for an Oscar, manages to negotiate $1mill to be in Stargate, and promptly left showbiz and now works as a buyer for some fashion house.

He's gorgeous. Before and after the hair-cutting. And brilliantly vulnerable. More of a lady than I am :D

[identity profile] duckgirlie.livejournal.com 2009-09-25 02:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Totally. He's more of a lady then I'll likely ever be.

Whoa! He's young.

[identity profile] greenpixiehair.livejournal.com 2009-09-26 01:10 am (UTC)(link)

Yeah, he is young in this one. It's a 1992 movie (the year after I was born...) and Forest Whitaker looks so young too. Have you seen it?

[identity profile] theblackmeat.livejournal.com 2009-09-26 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
No. The only movies I've ever seen Stephen Rhea in are V for Vendetta and Breakfast on Pluto.

You know who looks bizarrely young? Dennis Hopper in Rebel Without A Cause.

Oh! I recommend it. Hard.

*google image searches to jog memory* Wow, he really does. That's... sort of creepy. But he's quite adorable.

I've got The Crying Game on my Netflix queue somewhere. It's one of those must-see movies that I'm a bit late getting around to.
